Malahide Castle 2008:

Eric Clapton - Saturday 21st June '08!

"From the moment he plugged in his guitar at 8pm, Clapton displayed the dazzling fretwork that keeps him at the top end of the world's greatest players."

Kevin Courtney, The Irish Times

Neil Young - Sunday 29th June '08!

"He finished, unexpectedly, with a raucous, coruscating A Day in the Life , brilliantly appropriating the sound of Lennon and McCartney, but it also served as a reminder that while so many of his 1960s peers now live as faded reminders of their younger selves, Neil Young hasn't faded at all."

Davin O' Dwyer, The Irish Times

Malahide Castle 2007

The Unique Settings of Malahide Castle played host to some Fantastic Acts last Summer 2007 which included:

Arctic Monkeys – 16th & 17th June

The castle grounds were beautiful, the atmosphere relaxed, and the Monkeys were in fine form, a band on top of their game and possibly on the cusp of greatness"

Tony Clayton Lea, The Irish Times

Pink - 23rd June

"the momentum gathered throughout her 90-minute set, with a less-than-serious performance of ‘Stupid Girls’ and a cover of Aerosmith’s ‘Janie’s Got A Gun’ which outdid the original! She’s a real pro, who merits her place in front of the 17,000 strong crowd"

Bell X1 – 1ST July

"Aside from the eclectic mix of music, Bell X1 in action provide an excellent stage show and at times it's memerising working out who's doing what, to the exciting masses, these home grown stars truly were heroes - and not just for one day".

Fingal Independent

Al Green & Joe Cocker - 1st July

"Cocker proved he had lost none of his old magic, belting through a string on hits." "Bedecked in a tuxedo, Al Green enthralled the audience with a wonderful rendition of 'Let's Stay Together. Closing with a Motown medley, Green had everyone on their feet and added a memorable chapter to the musical annals of Malahide."
