3rd annual Choice Music Prize

For what must be the first time in the history of Irish awards shows, the Choice Music Prize has secured all 10 out of 10 Shortlisted Artists to play live on Wednesday 27 February in Vicar Street, Dublin!
 
The final complement of tickets for the event are now on sale from Ticketmaster and all usual outlets price €27 inc booking fee.
 
The BBC's David ‘Rigsy' O'Reilly & Channel 6's Michelle Doherty will host the Choice Music Prize - Irish Album Of The Year live event in Vicar Street, Dublin on Wednesday 27 February 2008.

The winner of the Choice Music Prize - Irish Album of the Year 2007 will be decided at the live event:

While the judging panel are locked away in a sound-proofed and sealed room making their decision about who wins the Choice Music Prize, the audience will enjoy live performances and special video footage of the Shortlisted acts.
 
The climax of the evening will come with the announcement of the winner of the Choice Music Prize. The winning act will receive a cheque for €10,000 (courtesy of IMRO and IRMA) and a special commemorative Trophy (courtesy of RAAP).
 
The event will be live Today FM that night in a special "Tom Dunne presents the Choice Music Prize" broadcast.
 
The inaugural Choice Music Prize - Irish Album of the Year (2005) was awarded to Julie Feeney's album "13 Songs" with last year's prize going to The Divine Comedy's "Victory For The Comic Muse".
