“Brilliant & life-affirming – Tommy Tiernan actually makes you proud to be Irish.” - The Irish Independent
“He has the vocabulary of a poet, the soul of a maverick & the passion of an evangelist.” - Chortle
Like a modern day Alcock and Browne, Tommy Tiernan crash lands into Clifden this December for the start of his 'World Tour Of Galway' 2012. The county he calls home, from the psychiatric badlands of East Galway and up through pylon country to the shamtastic town of broken dreams (they call it Tuam), with a stop off for neon light replenishment therapy in the big city and a jaunt at the edge of the gaelic reservation, this 8 date tour will surely be the hottest ticket in town in the run up to Christmas. Combining a gamey eye for the absurd, with a keen sense of the everyman, Tommy’s show is a delightful mix of subtle observations and an indignant rage at the state of himself and the land we live in. Tiernan’s mind is a badly lit cowshed full of strange animals and open doors. To see him once barely does justice to his brilliant stories and banter...To not see him at all, would be a tragedy.

There’s unlikely to be a more compelling stand-up out there today, with this show giving us all the sides of Tiernan from the hushed conspirator to the firebrand preacher, riffing on childhood, family and a little bit of politics. Pure genius, so it Is - (●●●●●) The List
Tickets priced €28 go on sale this Thursday 8th November at 9am from www.ticketmaster.ie and venues.
