Live at The Laughter Lounge

21st November 2012

Aiken Promotions and The Laughter Lounge are delighted to announce a very special one-off show by one of our favourite acts.  Jarlath Regan has been ripping up the stage in Dublin’s biggest and best comedy clubs for years. Whether he's supporting the likes of Ardal O'Hanlon, Des Bishop and Jason Byrne, or headlining around the UK he's guaranteed to have you laughing.  On November 21st he’s going to take over the venue for one rip-roaring show filled with the jokes, stories and dance moves you’ve come to love from the man Hot Press has called “the next big thing”.

The secret is out!

For years Jarlath Regan has been called the best kept secret in Irish comedy or “the best comedian you’ve never heard of”(Dubliner Magazine). After a breakout year which included stellar performances on primetime BBC television, rave reviews for his sellout Edinburgh Fringe show and record sales of his hilarious greeting cards, the cat is well and truly out of the bag.  What better way to finish the year than with one giant show at the biggest comedy club in the capital, The Laughter Lounge.

“Comedy genius!”

In 2007 The Irish Times called him a “comedy genius”. With celebrity fans including Ardal O’Hanlon, Russell Howard, Adam Sandler and Will Ferrell, it’s hard to understand why it’s taken this long for people at home to recognize him. Maybe it’s the amount of talent in the country or maybe it’s his apparently mild mannered style - comedy guru www.chortle.co.uk  once called him“the kind of comedian you could take home to meet your mother”. Either way for the past five years Jarlath Regan has been working his tail off producing award winning compilation shows, writing best-selling books (“How To Break Bad News”), drawing hilarious greeting cards, filming viral youtube videos, not to mention performing his own up-lifting standup comedy around the world at comedy festivals such as Edinburgh, Montreal and Melbourne. This November he brings his new show to the legendary Laughter Lounge for one very special night.

Catch him while you can, it might be your last chance for a while.  Jarlath Regan hosts a night unlike any other at The Laughter Lounge on November 21st.  Tickets are €12 and available now from www.laughterlounge.com, www.ticketmaster.ie and all usual outlets.
