Aiken Promotions are delighted to announce the first Shows to be confirmed for next summer’s Live at the Marquee in Cork. The 9th year of the renowned Concert series sees Elton John and Christy Moore make welcome returns to play the Marquee while Elvis Costello and ZZ Top are confirmed to appear for the first time at the popular summer venue.
With a career that spans five decades, ELTON JOHN is one of the top-selling solo artists of all time. His hit song ‘Tiny Dancer’ is currently at No.1 in the Irish Charts after a group of over 300 Irish musicians recorded it as A Song for Lily-Mae with Elton personally endorsing the release with tweets and posting the video online. As one of the greatest and most successful live artists, his spectacular stage shows continue to leave the competition standing! Elton will perform over two hours of hits from an incredible back catalogue, including such classics as ‘Bennie and The Jets’, ‘Crocodile Rock’ and ‘Your Song’. ELTON JOHN AND HIS BAND bring their unforgettable Greatest Hits Show back to the Live At The Marquee on 23 June.
ELVIS COSTELLO & THE IMPOSTERS appear for the first time at Live At The Marquee on 26 June. The singer/songwriter who has penned classic tracks like ‘Alison’ and ‘Oliver’s Army’ has won numerous awards over his 40+ years in music. As well as being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Elvis Costello was also named in Rolling Stone’s Top 100 Greatest Artists of All Time in 2004.

In what will be their first concert in Ireland since 1985, iconic rock band ZZ TOP has confirmed a date for Live At The Marquee on 27 June. Since the release of the Band’s debut album, ZZ Top has become known for its strong blues roots and humorous lyrical motifs. After more than four decades, the Band is the only rock group to have maintained its original members who were awarded the Living Legend Award by the Classic Rock Roll of Honour 2012.
CHRISTY MOORE has confirmed he will return next summer on Saturday 6 July for a record-breaking 9th appearance at Live At The Marquee. The National treasure and Irish music icon is the only Artist who has appeared at every Marquee series since its inception in 2004.
